scones

I'm back for another post today. You see, I need help! I can't stop!! I've had 3 of these bad boys and... I want another! I'm serious guys, they are sooooo amazingly delicious! I'm out of control!

You see, while I was at Kohl's this morning buying a shower liner, Miranda calls and says she's making scones.
"SCONES!" I said. "But I'VE never made scones!" (and my point?) "Do you even know how to make scones?" (wow, I am quite the encourager)
"Mom, I found a recipe online and I'm fine" she replies with confidence. (which sorta bugs me)
"Ok then, well, I'll be home soon if you need my help." (help her? aah, I was relegated to taking pictures)

Seriously, I am soooo tickled that my daughter made scones!! She is a true baker and no telling what she will tackle next!
As for me, I am enjoying my role as her mentor, encourager... ok, so, not so good. But hey, devouring 4 scones has to count for something! And yes... I had another.

Mom... don't lie, you still hovered and offered more pointers than I asked for... but I'll accept the compliment. I learned my baking skills from the best.

Ahh, I can see we have some of the same tastes...thrift store shopping...Is that colored pyrex behind Miranda's head there? I'll have to post pictures of our Pennsylvania Dutch collection. We are crazy about hex signs (four of them in our kitchen) and cuckoo clocks!

Uh, can we borrow your daughter for a day? Mmm, those look delic!

I went over to her blog. She looks like she's having a lot of fun in life. Single, right?

Don't eat 'em all in one day!

Looks yummy! I have never made them either. Maybe I will have too. I love your dishes in the back ground. Soooo colorful! I have just one of the little ones- I use it for butter.

LOL! They do look yummy...good job Miranda! I'm clicking on the recipe link. I also love all those little dishes behind her in the pictures...very cute!
Thanks for visiting my blog. It's fun to have a local blogger. My most favorite scrapbook store is Scrapbooks Etc on Lindsay and University because it's simply the best. I'm sure you've probably been there. Scrapbook barn is nice too, but they don't have even close to the amount of inventory...nobody does. :o)
