pink & aqua Pyrex * France & England Pyrex

These little pastel Pyrex refrigerator dishes are my favorite. As I have said before, I started collecting Pyrex over 25 years ago and have paid very little for my collection... that is until Martha did a feature in her magazine several years ago and from then on the prices went up and they became harder to find. I don't shop at antique stores nor do I buy on Ebay. So I am even more thrilled when I can find some at thrift stores or yard sales. I maybe paid a dollar for the pink & aqua and a quarter for the top one.

You also know that I am drawn to little containers. So it was only natural for my to pick up these little casserole dishes. Well upon inspection, I was completely surprised to see that they were stamped Pyrex France and Pyrex England! Serious! I was ecstatic! Where did they come from? How did they get here? The two 7 inch ones are from France and the 5 inch one with the lid is from England. I found them at thrift stores and yard sales for less than a dollar each.
So if anyone out there can tell me more about them, I'd love to hear from you! I have found very little info at Pyrex Love.
Thanks and have a wonderful weekend!

Love the pink ones. Did I tell you I found a pyrex tableware set at a thrift store last week? Two pyrex butter dishes, the tableware set and a quilt for 6 dollars! Craziness, I tell you!!

Is the little one some kind of refrigerator dish? Seems awfully small for a casserole, I don't know. I looked in my Pyrex Book but I didn't find anything more. I adore those little pastel dishes! So sweet!

I am a pyrex collector also. I recently got a pyrex dish with a divider in the middle including a nice lid all for 1.00 at a yard sale. I originaly was going to resell it but fell in love with it so I kept it for myself,

I love those little pastel dishes. I have several pieces of old pyrex. I love them and use them all the time!

When I was first married over 40 years ago, I had a set of the pink pyrex. They were round with glass lids. Now I'm wondering what happened to them!

I have a little Pyrex glass storage container that is rectangular & looks a lot like yours. Mine has a blue lid & it was a gift from someone several years ago. It's stamped Pyrex, but is not old. They are nice containers! Great little collection you've got there.

Oh, the pink Pyrex reminds me of a dear departed aunt who had an all-pink kitchen, including pots and pans, pyrex, refrigerator and stove. She was not the sort of person one would think of as loving pink (and the kithcen was the only room in the house that reflected it) which made it all the more endearing. You have a lovely collection!

Hi Linda,
I just read a short article on Pyrex in the current issue of Country Home (I think) magazine. They had some prices for s few items. They fetch a high price if in top condition.

That lidded one appears to be a refrigerator dish.

Thanks for the kind comments, Linda, hope you visit again. (I entered you in teh drawing)

As cute as those pyrex pieces are, they are also useful to have. I love using pretty vintage things, and those are so much better than the plastic things that twist up in the dishwasher!
