Christmas branch

Tonight my family is coming over and we're decorating the tree and celebrating my birthday.
My birthday isn't till Monday, but I love combining the two events.
Hey, a decoratively lit Christmas tree is even better than a candle lit birthday cake!
So before anyone gets here I thought I'd show you my branch!
Yes, I finally have a branch like my friend Nancy's branch!

I found my very own Manzanita branch this past summer up at the Mogollon Rim
and just now hung it over my kitchen island.
Just in time for Christmas.

This is what it looks like in the wild above Strawberry, Arizona.
Love the deep, dark red bark.

See why I love my barn lights so much?
The designs reflected on the ceiling are so cool!
And the metal guards make it possible for me to hang my Manzanita branch using fishing line.

I've had so much fun decorating for Christmas this year.
Cuz I know my two year old granddaughter Emolyn will notice every single detail.

Thanks for visiting my blog.

I absolutely love this. Will you keep it up all year? You should just switch out the ornaments.

Wow! Linda, I really LOVE what you've done with the branch! That's a perfect place for it and I love the ornaments that you chose. I hope I get to see it in person.

I love your branch, Linda. I've confessed my coveting to Nancy over her branch. Now I have to covet yours too, haha. What a perfect place to hang it, too. It looks great over your kitchen island.
