quirky containers

The shelving unit on the counter in my sewing room is our old waterbed headboard.
Perfect for displaying my quirky collections in unconventional containers.
It's all about recycling and repurposing you know.

Hey, if it works for nails & screws, why not buttons and baubles.

~ apothecary jars filled with wooden spools ~

~ lime green colander filled with clothes pin wrapped trim ~

~ vintage tea cups & creamers ~ cup cake pans ~ IKEA jars

~ vintage travel cases ~ red metal tool box ~ gym baskets ~

~ vintage Pyrex ~ tea towel ribbon holder ~ galvanized garden containers ~

When another kid moves out I WILL, I WILL make a sewing/craft room just like yours! We love all the same things, only you are better at arranging. Love stopping by your corner of the cyber world.

I love all your containers. Very interesting and way to go on that recyling/reusing!

Well hellow Linda T. I am pea green with envy over your sewing/art studio and am madly in love with it. I love the vintage phone and clock and all the bright colors would keep me so happy. And I adore all spools of thread and yarn of any kind and like how you display them and not put them away in a drawer. I am an avid sewer, so I just might copy an idea or to, but what an adorable space to work in. I'm afraid I'd never leave. Love Terri www.morningdewdrops.typepad.com

Love what you do and the fact that you do it all on a shoestring. You're so good at finding treasures among trash! Keep up the great work.
