I am thinking these retro pins are from the 60's and 70's. What do you think? Anyway, I love em! I found all of these flower pins in a zip-lock bag at my little thrift store for 75 cents! I have a couple ideas for these beauties... like actually wearing them... but also displaying them in a shadow box with real cool vintage fabric in the background. Hey, why not display your jewelry as 3-D artwork!
Here's the deal... wrap your fabric around foam board so you just stick the pins on the fabric covered foam board. How easy is that to grab and wear your favorite art piece. I have seen several of these online and they look so cool, hip and mod!
Oh how cool. I would have never thought to make a art project with the pins. I gotta go find me some now...Love old vintage jewerly.
ReplyDelete75 CENTS??? Get outta here!! LOL That is SUCH a steal. Heck, I'd be crowing if I got just ONE PIN for 75 cents! :) You have some really nice examples there, too. I love how they all look together! So cheery.
ReplyDeleteOh, my - I cannot BELIEVE how lucky you were to get all of those for 75c! I love them!
ReplyDeleteLOVE these ... if you are ever wondering what to give me for Christmas or my birthday ... or because it is Wednesday ...
ReplyDeleteI LOVE all these ... keep your eye out for more, and I will pay you + your time...

.75 cents for ALL of those? I love them! They are so cute. I love the shadow box idea!
ReplyDeleteI love the shadow box idea too! I may have a couple of those stashed away somewhere in my "sell it on eBay" box. I remember having at least a pink one of those when I was younger.
ReplyDeleteYou always have such a creative eye for those kinds of things.
I would do the shadow box--i have a tendency to lose wardrobe peripherals. Way cool pins!
ReplyDeleteVery nice "enamel Ware" pins. I have a poodle pin collection displayed 3-d. I will post it this week if I can find my camera charger!
ReplyDeleteAw gee, Linda. Just when I'm working on that jealousy problem, too...
ReplyDeleteOh the memories these bring to my heart! My Slovak/Polish grandmother that we called Ba Ba used to wear one on her housedress every day. As a little girl, I just loved her pins!
ReplyDeleteI love those pins, they remind me of my mom, aunts and grandma!
ReplyDeleteHope you are doing well, Linda!
Those pins are so bright and beautiful. I though you'd be interested, in light of your previous post, that the UK English definition of the word homely
ReplyDeletehomely adj (homelier, homeliest) 1 relating to home; familiar. 2 making someone feel at home. 3 said of people: honest and unpretentious; pleasant. 4 N Amer said of people: plain and unattractive. If someone, where I come from told me,for example, that my place was homely, I would take it as a compliment meaning nice and cozy!
You do find the greatest treasures in your thrift store!
