An Unexpected Anniversary Blessing

The sweetest young woman handed me a beautiful handmade quilt at her yard sale the end of August. She didn't want to just sell it, as it was gifted to her Mom, quilted by her church friends, when she was dying. She wanted to give it to someone who would love and appreciate that it was handmade with love and full of Bible verses. And of course they're my very favorite Bible verses! I was stunned. She had no idea I had just come from visiting Randy on our 47th wedding anniversary. Which made her gift especially touching. And the color of dementia is purple! She was so moved when I told her about Randy and our anniversary. I will cherish this precious heirloom, and some day pass it on to someone who needs a reminder of God's love and care for her.
