showered with love

Emolyn Kate is 2 months old and yesterday was her baby shower. Shawn and Nicole were showered with love and support and gifts galore! What a special day! Thanks to our dear friend Amy, the whole day was captured on film. (ok, on digital) Thanks Amy!
Shawn put together a DVD of sweet images from the first 2 months of Emolyn's life. We were once again reminded that we are witnessing a miracle. Emolyn is sooo healthy! She was not at the shower but cared for by Nicole's friend Jessica who is a nurse. It is still not safe for her to be in public yet but her first big outing will most likely be Mother's Day when she is dedicated at our church!
But man oh man will she be styling in the months and years to come! Such darling clothes! And yes, I did the cupcakes. I used this recipe here. So yummy!

  6. Linda, that's the prettiest looking baby shower I've ever seen! I love the putting of the dresses on the wall. The baby form on the cupcake table was brilliant as well. Good work!

My hollyhocks are about to bloom! I know, they're a month or so behind yours, but I'm super excited about them. One should be open just in time for the garden party!

  7. I have been absent from blogland for so long that I had to really scroll back to read details about Emolyn. She is so beautiful and she doesn't have that "skinny preemie" look at all. I think it must be more associated with boys and Tilly never had it either but my goodness poor ole Ewan did. :-P She sure is beautiful!
