Randy is with the Lord!
He passed at 8:50am Sunday morning Oct. 25th, 2026. It was beautiful, sacred and sudden.
Randy was placed on Hospice on Wed. the 21st. He was wide awake all day, every day till he passed. He was peaceful, alert and comfortable. He would stare into my eyes, along with a photo of his kids for hours. He knew us!
By Sunday we knew the end was near. So I contacted the kids.
Our daughter Miranda, her husband Aaron and I were surrounding Randy as our son Tyler in WI was FaceTiming with his Dad… and then Randy peacefully stopped breathing. We were stunned and overjoyed for Randy! And so thankful Tyler witnessed it with us. We were all crying and praising God! One of the most profound moments of my life. In an instant Randy was in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Randy was healed!
Our son Shawn & Nicole and their children, along with Randy's brother Don, were on their way when Randy passed. But oh what a blessing to gather together and share stories and memories when they arrived. We laughed and cried and gave thanks to God for His goodness.
Yes I will miss him, but I’ve been missing him every single day for 16 years.
Randy had behavioral variant Frontotemporal dementia ~
It was an honor and blessing to be his caregiver for 8 years at home and a care partner and advocate for 8 years at his memory care facility.
Thank God we will be reunited one day for all eternity!
